…really though. I think I might just be nuts. I have two small children at home, babies really (almost 1 & 3) and I decided I wanted to start a blog. I really don’t have any idea what I am doing and I have very little time to myself to dedicate to blogging. I will tell you why I decided to do this though; I need it.
Being a stay at home mom really started to take it’s toll on me. I was becoming a sad, depressed loner and going stir crazy locked up in my house in the dead of winter with two small, needy children. The only thing that I was doing for myself was working out and that became my therapy. After a while though I started to have that empty feeling again because I had no one to share my passion of healthy things with. My 3 year old enthusiastically accompanied me while I exercised but lets face it, three year olds are not a very good substitute for adult interaction.
So I decided I wanted to find an outlet for my love of all things fitness and food and started an Instagram account (@mommymightgocrazy). As you can guess, I named it so because I was literally on the brink of going insane. Through Instagram, I discovered this whole other world of women (and men) just like myself who love fitness and sharing healthy recipes and keeping each other accountable. I began connecting with other women who I shared a lot in common with and was inspired at how they empowered one another. I also discovered this community of fitness bloggers and I couldn’t help but want to be a part of it.
I have such a passion for fitness and I dedicate so much of my time to it that I felt maybe a blog would be a great way to share that with who ever wants to listen (or read, haha). Instagram is great for pictures and twitter is great for a 140 character thought but I wanted a way to bring it all together that I could really express myself and a blog is the perfect format for that.
So I as I begin this blogging journey, please bear with me. My 11 month old still doesn’t sleep through the night, my three year old wants to do whatever Mommy is doing and I often forget how to form a proper sentence. I want to do this though and as nuts as it seems (to me), I think it will open some doors for me that might just be my saving grace.
